Wildflower Jeopardy

This low-to-the-ground orange flower (Which occasionally fools us by either being blue or white) shares its common name with a literary classic.


Many of these prickly plants are invasive and are related to the artichoke.


One long, single frond marks the spot where you might eventually see the unique, down-turned blossom of this flower lighting up the trail.


This thorny plant has many trumpet shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds. Its flowers are fuchsia colored.


You can't live inside these purple and white flowers, but you can marvel at their architecture.


One lone patch of these milky members of the poppy family thrives along the upper Lupine Loop.


This shrubs orange flower is quite sticky to the touch.
