Environmental Education Programs

  


MPRPD
has put together an exciting array of environmental and outdoor related programs, classes and activities intended to expand the opportunities for the public to get outside, to learn about and enjoy nature.  The offerings include art-related, photography, camping, hiking, kayaking, safe horsemanship, sailing and other activities.  The programs are aimed at youths, teens, adults, and families.  Check out our Adventure Activities Guide to see the full listing of programs.

What is the Community ALIVE Program?

 

It is a much-needed volunteer program that you can participate in to help The Park District restore native plants and maintain trails in our local parks and open spaces. Through our programs we all can Act Locally

CAMP PROGRAMS

The Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District offers a variety of nature camp experiences for youth including day camps, overnights and residential camps. These environmental education experiences utilize inquiry based learning and outdoor adventures to instill a sense of wonder and stewardship for our open spaces. The activities have been carefully selected to allow participants to try new experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Come hike, paddle, and explore your way around the Monterey Peninsula!


NATURE PROGRAMS


The Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District's Nature Programs are environmental education experiences that utilize inquiry based learning and outdoor exploration to instill a sense of wonder and stewardship for our open spaces. Nature Program activities include games, art and crafts, science and more!
