Welcome to the website for the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District.   From here you can access information about the various District parks, programs, facilities, and people. This website is also a portal to other public park and recreation related websites in the area and beyond.

MPRPD's environmental education program, "Let's Go Outdoors!", encourages our community to discover the wonders of nature by offering affordable, quality programs for all ages.  Covering a wide range of topics and interests, new programs are offered each season, focusing on learning or developing skills in the outdoors.  Check out our Adventure Activities Guide to see the full listing of programs.

If you click on the Park and Open Space Locator, you can access information about MPRPD parks and preserves.  In addition, the locator provides links to other federal, state, and county  parks and open spaces within the MPRPD boundaries, serving as a gateway to a vast array of local and  even far-away park and recreational venues and opportunities.

The Nature and Wildlife Guides provide information about the various flora and fauna that can be found within MPRPD parks and preserves.  You'll find lists with facts about mammals, amphibians, birds, plants, trees, fish, and more.  These guides are excellent educational tools that  have been developed and made available in conjunction with the National Wildlife Federation.
