VOLUNTEER DOCENTS PROGRAM

Do you spend more than 6 hours a month in parks like Garland Ranch, Marina Dunes or the Frog Pond?
Would you like to share back some of the good feeling you get from your time in the parks?

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteer just 6 hours a month. Call the MPRPD Naturalist, at 372-3196 ext 3. Or you can email for more information

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

  • Garland Park Visitor Center
  • Nature Hike Leader
  • Trail Patrol
  • Native Plant Restoration
  • Museum Exhibits/Techniques
  • Coastal Park Field Studies
  • School Groups/Youth Hikes
  • Special Events
  • Publicity

So much to do. . . so few staff members! That's where you can make a natural world of difference. MPRPD needs committed volunteers--docents-- to help enhance habitat areas and interpret the world of nature, in all her variety, to the public.

Great fun, great people, great learning, and a chance to assist others in enjoying our parks and open spaces.
