#50Kfor50Years: All November

a.   How can I participate?

  • Move naturally for 50k in the month of November and earn a free Blue Zones sponsored T-shirt to commemorate your accomplishment.
  • Visit any of the listed MPRPD parks and take a selfie at the designated photo location (for full location descriptions, click here AND for parking and selfie spot location map, click here) and post to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, Be sure to tag MPRPD and use the hashtag #50Kfor50Years to earn a limited-edition, park-specific sticker. Collect all 6 stickers!

b.   How do I get free swag?

  • T-shirts:
    • Create a "Run Sign Up" account and record your hike, walk, or movement distances.
    • Complete 50k or more by Wednesday, November 30th.
    • Collect your T-shirt at Palo Corona Regional Park on Event Day, Saturday, December 3, from 10am-2pm, OR at the Discovery Center on the following weekend (December 10-11, from 10am-4pm). Shirts are limited to the first 200 participants to complete 50 kilometers.
  • Stickers:
    • Take a selfie at one of the designated park locations, tag MPRPD on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and use the hashtag #50Kfor50Years. For parking and selfie spot locations, click here.
    • The limited-edition sticker you will receive is based on which MPRPD park you visited. Participants can earn one commemorative sticker per park, no matter how many selfie locations there might be at one park.
    • Collect your sticker(s) at Palo Corona Regional Park on Event Day, Saturday, December 3, from 10am-2pm, OR at the Discovery Center on the following weekend (December 10-11, from 10am-4pm). Other collection opportunities may be announced – stay tuned!

Event Day: December 3, 2022

a.   What is there to do?

  • Join MPRPD for activities for all ages, food, exhibitors, presentations, and to claim rewards from your #50Kfor50Years adventures at Palo Corona Regional Park from 10am-2pm.

b.   Do I need to register? How much does it cost?

  • No registration needed. Admission is free.
  • Food will be available for purchase.

c.   Where do I go?

  • The event will be held at Palo Corona Regional Park, 4860 Carmel Valley Road, Carmel, CA. We hope to see you there!
