Resource Conservation Specialists
Resource Conservation Specialists perform a wide range of activities including coordination of design and implementation of capital improvement projects, natural resource preservation, protection, and restoration projects, and preparing land use and management plans for new and existing parks and preserves. They develop and implement natural and cultural resource management policies, and conduct monitoring and reporting activities, research, pursue and secure grant funding for research stewardship projects and ensure projects and programs are in compliance with with regulatory requirements. Specialists also collect field data and conduct surveys and commission resource stuies as necessary to effectively steward and protect park resources.
