Community ALIVE
Volunteers Act Locally In Volunteer Endeavors
Are you looking to give your time on a one-time project, to earn service credits, or to feel a sense of accomplishment then come to a Community ALIVE! (CA!) service project. CA! volunteers assist MPRPD staff in achieving resource and management projects. You can join us once or many times.
Projects vary seasonally and include: working in our Native Plant Garden and Arboretum, restoring habitat, removal of invasive weeds, trail maintenance, erosion control and beautification projects in many of our parks and open spaces.
Every CA! volunteer must complete a waiver prior to each service. Children under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Give a "Green" Day Group Projects
Give a few hours of your group’s time being “green”. Build connections and relationships between team members and the environment while participating in community restoration, park beautification or cleanup projects. Fun and meaningful activities provide unique experiences for your party of 10 or more. Working together, we will design a custom event tailored just for you!
NOTE: Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Ongoing Projects
You can volunteer for one of several habitat restoration projects. The projects are short-term and may include removing invasive plants, planting native plants and cleaning up parks and open space.
